Deputy Governor of Plateau state, prof. Sonni Gwanle Tyoden said the desired to hold inauguration and democracy day celebration come may 29 was in line with the decision of Federal Government since it is the administration that is coming on board.

" We believe that it is the Same government coming back. We have to follow the foot steps of Federal government."

Tyoden who is the chairman central planning committee of the may 29 inauguration made the assertion while briefing Journalists at old Government House, Rayfield, Jos.

Gentlemen of the Press

I Welcome you all to this Press briefing by the government to unveil the lineup of activities for the forthcoming Inauguration/swearing-in of the second term in office of Governor Simon Bako Lalong led administration.

Let me take this opportunity to on behalf of the Governor to appreciate the members of the Press in the State for their support during the recently concluded general elections. 

The celebration will be observed in a low key we are taking a cue from the Federal Government. The activities are as follows:


SUMMARY OF PROPOSED EVENTS FOR MAY 29TH 2019

A total of six (6) Events are proposed to run over a period of six (6) days, from FRIDAY 24th May 2019 - WEDNESDAY 29TH MAY 2019, as follows:


1. FRIDAY 24TH MAY, 2019 (One Activity): Special Jumaat Prayer.

2. SATURDAY 25/5/2019 (One Activity):  GOLF TOURNAMENT.

3. SUNDAY 26/5/2019 (One Activity): CHURCH SERVICE.
