 Plateau state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP, on Friday has extended suspension of its embattled chairman Hon. Damishi Sango for another one month and expelled deputy Amos Gombi.

The Spokesman of the party, John Akans KSM who made the disclosure to journalists shortly after the closed door meeting held at the party secretariat in Jos, described Sango as the worst leader who siphoned the party campaign funds.

He accused the duo (Sango and Gombi) of abusing their office through misappropriation of funds.

 He said  Comrade Hansi Suleiman fact findings committee had submitted their reports before the SEC meeting.

The party mouthpiece, Akans blamed the two party leaders of involving in shameful act that led the committee to recommend for Gombi's expulsion while Sango was recommended for an extension of his suspension by one month, awaiting the decision of the national Secretariat of the party.

According to Akans "the meeting also extended the suspension of Hon. Damishi Sango for another one month to enable us front load all the require documents that can lead to his total sacking from office.

"The fact available before us showed how the state chairman embarked on indiscriminate spending of campaign funds which were not accounted for." He added.

The PDP secretariat was overrun by security personnel in Police uniforms to safeguard the leadership of Hon. Chris Hassan.

Hassan who chaired the meeting said; “as a political party we should not lose sight to the current happenings but to remain focus on the ongoing litigation .

He expressed confidence on the  turnout of all the stakeholders including elected members of the state and national Assembly.

The meeting had passed a vote of no confidence on the leadership of  Hon.Damishi Sango and Amos Gombi for bringing shame and disgrace to the state chapter of the party.

Meanwhile, one Sango's faction leader, Pastor Dakas N. Dakas confirmed to our correspondent at the party secretariat that they were invited by security personnel at the police headquarters where he said Chris Hassan apologized to the security that Sango suspension was done in an illegal way .

He added that Hassan promised the security that they are going organize State Exco meeting with the aim of resolving the lingering crises rocking the state chapter, only diverted attention to pronounced suspension on Hon Amos Gombi and recommend Sango suspension.

According to him, Hassan begged that they don’t have any leadership problem but the suspension was an error, adding that; “ as we are addressing you now they have taken a decision that is not acceptable to the national secretariat.

However, the embattled suspended PDP chairman, Hon.Damishi Sango was received at his residence in Jos by hundreds of party supporters, who welcomed him with jubilation for man they describe as a leader of the oppressed.

The chairman who has been out of the state for a while, thank party faithful for their sacrifices to the party.

The over joyous Sango said he has since forgiven those who accused him of involving in allegations of money laundering.

He said Democracy has a lot of challenges, especially party politics where diverse interests comes from different quarters.

He called for prayers to the ongoing tribunal cases instituted by the party.
