The Management Committee Chairman of Riyom Local Government Council, Hon. Emmanuel Danboyi Jugul has called on the Association of Local Government Chairmen in Nigeria (ALGON), in Plateau State to liaise with indigenous media establishments for a more robust dissemination of information to all nooks and crannies.

Jugul who made the call during a courtesy call on him by the Plateau Publishers' Forum (PPA) at the Riyom Local Government Council secretariat also cautioned publishers against the practice of placing unsolicited adverts for Local Government Councils.

He promised to help organise a forum where PPA and ALGON will interface and come up with modalities for a mutually benefiting relationship as well as continue to partner with the association.

He admonished PPA members to always be fair in their reportage and editorials and to also criticized constructively. "Criticism is love if it is constructive" he said.

Jugul who congratuled PPA for a successful election of its officials, also opined that prudent management and control of PPA can metamorphose the association into a viable political party.

Speaking earlier, leaderof the delegation and the brand new Chairman of PPA, Chief Nash Hosea introduced PPA as a professional association of owners of newspapers, magazines and online news sites.

He also hinted that the association, which worked studiously for the return of the Rescue Administration would want to see drastic change, both in leadership, policies and programs during this second tenure in order that the electorates may not be disappointed.

The PPA Chairman also disclosed that there will be a PPA diner come July 4th, 2019 to unwind and recognise some outstanding individuals.
