Plateau state Governor and chairman Northern Governors forum,Simon Bako Lalong stated that the development of Plateau is the collective responsibility of everybody, calling on the opposition parties to shield their swords and join hands together for the betterment of the state.

Lalong made the statement while speaking to Journalists when landed the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Heipang after his victory at the supreme Court in Abuja on Monday 20th January, 2020.

He said"the period of electioneering campaign has gone. We went into the court from the tribunal to the court of appeal and finally to the supreme Court. The supreme Court gave judgement in our favor.

"So after this judgement there is no Victor no vanquished everybody is a Plateau person. I would call on them to come back. Let us come back and embrace ourselves to work together for the development of Plateau, is no longer the issue of party here and there. The development of Plateau is the development for everybody!" He revealed.

Governor Lalong who dedicates victory to God and the entire Plateau people promised to improve more to consolidate on the already existing legacies for benefit present and future generation.

"So what I would do is to improve to what I have done since the people are happy with the little we have done.

"The only thing we can do is to always pray that the Almighty God to give us the wisdom to do more to the people of Plateau state.

"The legacise are already everywhere all we need to do is to consolidate on them and moved Plateau to be the next level so that anybody that is coming after us, would know that this Plateau was the better Plateau and alone the line got somewhere, is back to Plateau the home of peace and tourism." Lalong concluded.
