The multi-Agency Special Task Force (STF),Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), operating in Plateau, part of Bauchi and Kaduna States, Major General Chukwuemeka Okonkwo, has Streamline action plan to end the lingering crises in Plateau.
The OPSH Commander made the revelation recently while under taking his familiarization visits to some traditional rulers across the state.
He assured that operation would improve on the security situations across the Joint Operational Area through constant dialogues with relevant stakeholders, which forms part of the non-kinetic activities adopted by the operation to stem wanton killings in the state.
Major General Okonkwo further disclosed that the coordinated operations are being carried out by troops across its Joint Operational Areas and would be sustained until total peace is restored.
"OPSH would not be overwhelmed in its duty and remain professional and neutral in discharging its mandate. Anyone found sponsoring crimes to the detriment of the state will be dealt with according to the law", he stressed.
However, in all the places visited, Major General Okonkwo revealed that the Fulani and Irigwe communities in the state have vowed to embrace peace, calling on the publics to cooperate with the OPSH by giving relevant and timely information to sustain its operations against banditry and other criminal activities in the state.
He visited troops' locations in Southern Kaduna, Jebbu Miango, Barkin-Ladi, Mangu, Shendam, Bokkos and Wase as part of his operational visit having assumed command a fortnight ago.
In a related development, Major General Okonkwo has also extended the familiarization visits to other sister security agencies in the state in a bid to cement the existing relationship among them, therefore soliciting for further cooperation and robust synergy to end crisis.
The OPSH was lauded in its professional ways of tackling security challenges across its Joint Operational Area.
