SP Musa Hassan,the Divisional Police officer (DPO) of  Nasarawa Division of the Nigeria Police Force has been macheted by the Naraguta Village Youths for arresting a violator-driver who resisted arrest after being spotted by the Police  for overloading his bus with people from Bauchi State into Plateau State.

Sources posit that when the driver was asked to stop for interrogation and possibly face arraignment, he reversed his bus on top speed endangering the lives of the security operatives,road users and the mobile court officials.

When the driver was eventually caught in a mosque for resisting arrest, he quickly mobilized the Naraguta Youths,close to the  Mobile Court who hacked the DPO,destroyed the NPF,the Judiciary and court workers.

Hon Rita Dashe Selkur, the presiding magistrate of the Mobile Court refused to bulge even when others scampered to safety.

The security operatives called for immediate reinforcements which led to the arrest of some youths at the scene of the crime.

The driver of the bus with loaded with passengers disappeared but his bus was towed to the Nasarawa Police Station, Jos North LGA.

In a related development, the mobile court sitting in Bukuru, the headquarters of Jos South Local Government Council headed by Hon. Naanlang S .Dashe,during the phase three of the Plateau State total lockdown of 27th to 30th April 2020, arraigned 32 persons, convicted 19,quarantined 13 and discharged 13 persons respectively.



The same court on the Plateau State phase four of the total lockdown also arraigned violators of the State Government laws as follows:On the 4th May, 2020; the Court arraigned four  persons, 2 convicted and 2 quarantined on the 5th May 2020,10 people were arraigned,4 quarantined and 6 discharged.

Similarly, on the 6th May ,2020; the court equally arraigned 31 people, out of which 19 were convicted, 5 quarantined and 7 discharged.

In the same vein, the mobile court sitting in West of Mines Jos, headed by Hon.Roseline Baraje in the fourth phase of the Plateau State total lockdown, on the 6th May, 2020, arraigned 32 persons , 6 quarantined , 11 persons on community service, 2 discharged and 30 persons were fined .



Similarly, on the 7th May, 2020;the court arraigned 25 people out of which 4 were convicted,1 on isolation and 20 discharged.
