Two suspects  have been arrested in connection to the  Killing of  Mustapha Abubakar, a Twelve year old boy who was raring Cows at Dong village in Jos North Local Government Area.

The two suspects  person are in the custody of the Rantiya Divisional police station,Jos.

Commander, Sector Three Colonel Tosin Ayoola while briefing the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Bala Usman  on the  development said a combined security team is  working  hard to apprehend the remaining suspects for further interrogation.


Colonel Ayoola said his team will  continue to work closely with  inhabitants of the area to sustain the peace of  the area.

Reacting to the sad development, Managment Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Shehu Bala Usman  condemned the killing the young cattle rearer describing it as unfortunate.
He said the killing happened when the council is in constant engagement with the  Irigwe, Afizere,Berom and Fulani's  in the Community on the importance of peaceful coexistence

Usman called on  the people of the Area to remain calm as security agencies and the Council are on top of the situation to bring the perpetrators to Justice.

The Chairman stressed that the attack came when Government at all levels are fighting the  scourge of COVID 19.

He warned  the people of the Area that the  Council would not accept any further breach of the peace in the locality.

In another development, Managment Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council Shehu Bala Usman has called on Primary health workers and veterinary personnel of the Area to comply with all
 Safety measures put in place to contain COVID 19 as they discharge their assignment.

 Usman  stated this when he paid an unscheduled visit to the  Primary Health Center and the  Veterinary Clinic all in Dong Village of Jos North Local Government Area.

He acknowledge the contribution of Health Workers in the fight against the disease and  noted that his administration and that of Governor  Simon Lalong are working very hard to contain the spread of the disease.

Still in Jos North, chairman of the Council Shehu Usman has  said his administration will partner with Change Makers, an Association of the department of Medicine and  Surgery, University of Jos to make sanitizer available to citizens of the Area.

The Chairman stated this when he received  the Leadership of Change Makers led by Victor Matabof in his office at the council Secretariat in Jos.

Usman Commended the group for their humanitarian service in line with the safety protocols of COVID 19.

Speaking earlier, the team leader Victor Matabof who spoke through plangji Jwanbot said they were in the Chairman's  office to seek  for areas  of collaboration to produce sanitizer  to the populace.
