WAEC Gives Update On 2020 Examination, Says Examination Will Commence By August
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has finally announced that 2020 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidate will commence by August this year, and end by the first week of September.
According to them, there will be modalities attached to the writing of the examination due to the guidelines given in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
According to the information released, the council explains that timetable for the examination will be released next week (that is, second week of the current month, July).
Also, the results of all candidates will be released on the 45th day after the last paper has been taken.
The information also explains that all five (5) members of Africa taking the examination (Nigeria, Gambia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Liberia) will all start the examination together.
Based on the instructions given, candidates are to arrive at the examination center an hour before the commencement of the day's papers, as lateness will not be tolerated.
Because of the current condition in the world, facemask has been made compulsory.
This means that no candidate will be allowed into the examination hall without a facemask.
Thus, all candidates are to be aware of this, and to prepare for it immediately.
