Director General, Industrial Training Fund (ITF ) Sir Joseph Ari, on Thursday restated his commitment to the repositioning of the Fund .
He made this known when the President of Plateau Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PLACCIMA) Mr Bulus Dareng,and Chief Executive Officer CEO of Anista Marketing and Events Ltd Miss Bolcit Barshep paid him a courtesy call to congratulate him on his reappointment for another term of four years and to notify him of the forthcoming Jos trade fair .
Ari said President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has come up with good policies aimed at diversifying the economy as it is the only sustainable solution to poverty and unemployment.
He said that the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), with its mandate to train Nigerian youths on various skills acquisition, will continue to work to eliminate the growing trends of unemployment in the country.
He promised to work at all times to take the Fund higher .
Ari thanked PLACCIMA and Anista Group for their visit and promised to partner with Jos trade fair to make it bigger and better .
Speaking earlier ,Dareng described the reappointment of Ari as well deserved.
" He said we are here to Congratulate you on your reappointment and to notify you of the forthcoming 2020 Jos trade fair which has been scheduled to hold on 15th of October to 1st of November .
He described Ari as a goal getter, stressing that he was a right choice, considering his commitment in rejuvenating the fund in his first tenure.
Dareng called on the DG to continue to make Plateau proud by remaining focus and resolute in his efforts of re-branding the ITF .
He said that the monumental achievements recorded by the director general within his first four years was unprecedented.
Barshep who also spoke at the occasion said that all COVID_19 health protocols will be duly observed during the 17days trade fair exhibition.
"We would continue to contribute our quota in this challenging economic period, specifically in areas of engaging youths in Plateau state productively.”
Barshep further said she is optimistic that the forthcoming 2020 Jos trade fair would provide a good business platform for people of the state to showcase their products and also help to boost the economy of the state .”
