The Commissioner of works Hon. Pam Bot-Mang has received EXCO of the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers (NICE) on a courtesy call in the conference hall of the Ministry at the JD Gwomwalk Secretariat. 

Hon. Pam Bot-Mang while speaking to the new EXCO challenged  members of the organization to always come out with suitable and contemporary designs and construction. He also commended members of the Institution for sustaining infrastructures in Nigeria particularly  Plateau State. 


In his address, the Chairman Nigerian institution of Civil Engineers Plateau State chapter Engr. Beedee Bott applauded the Ministry for its contributions in the field of Civil Engineering works particularly in the design, construction, supervision, rehabilitation and maintenance of roads in the State especially on the operation Zero Pothole as well as overlaying some roads with asphaltic concrete surfacing which is a good initiative by the Ministry and Government that will further sustained the roads and improve on the Economic growth and activities, smooth flow of traffic, and ameliorate on the travel time. He further stated that their visit is to express their support and solidarity with the office for the laudable efforts in the planning, design, construction and implementing one of the Governor's agenda especially in the area of physical infrastructure and also to seek cooperation and relationship in the training and retraining of their members locally, Nationally, and internationally as well as the need for sponsorship. 


In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Engr. Sunday C. Hyat (mni) who is also a member of NICE congratulated the new EXCO on their election to superintend on the affairs of the noble organization in the State noting that they are at the front line of engineering activities in the State.
