SN. Jiyasan have taken over affairs of Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp, NSCDC, Plateau State Command as the brand new  Commandant.

Commandant Jiyasan who was deployed to Plateau state recently takes over mantle of leadership from the out going Commandant Olasupo Solomon.

Speaking Wednesday during the official handing over at NSCDC headquarters in Jos, the incoming Commandant, Jiyasan revealed some tips to curb insecurity on the Plateau.

He said it is only God that would provide security. I cannot boost that I would provide security to Plateau State. But with God all things are possible. All the crisis that were having, especially during my oga. I asked him what he was doing and how he is dealing with it. 

We discussed so many things and Strategies, especially the security of farmers we discuss everything. I know about the abro rangers, try to mobilize abro rangers to the farms so that they can protect the farmers. We have done that strategy with him and so by the grace of God things will be alright.

"Security is an internal arrangements and the press can get to know about it later. That is all I can said about security now," Commandant Jiyasan mentioned.




On coronavirus pandemic, He lamented that the COVID-19 pandemic is a world wide problem, and we thank God Nigerian is not like other countries where you found out that people are dying on the road."God has blessed us in this country."

"Whatever we are going to do now is to support the Government in terms of social distancing, in terms of washing hands and everything, the nose mask. We will make sure we do everything within our jurisdiction to make sure that people comply with all this protocol measures so that Plateau State would overcome the issue of COVID-19.

"So, we will just try our best putting in place the measures that Government have already put in place especially Federal ministry of health, we will corporate with the government very well." He concluded.
