HON. DACHUNG READY TO RECONCILE WITH AGGRIEVED PERSON'S

The Management Committee Chairman of Jos South LGC, Hon. Dachung Yohanna Choji has reacted to the four (4) months tenure extension of the Management Committees of Barkin-Ladi, Riyom, Jos South and Jos North Local Government Councils by the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong.

Hon. Dachung in a statement released on Tuesday, urged party members and the entire people of Jos South LGA to unite for progress, while calling on aggrieved persons to use the opportunity of the tenure extension to bury all differences and unite in the interest of the LGA.

"I pledge to be alive to my responsibilities and justify the confidence and trust reposed in me. I appreciate those who have supported our efforts thus far. They have demonstrated high sense of patriotism by their support. I bear no grudges whatsoever against anyone, because Jos South belongs to all of us and we all have the same desire and zeal to serve our LGA. Though a little bitterness and rancour may have arisen in the pass days, but the interest of Jos South LGA requires that; we put everything behind us and work towards the peace, unity and development of our land. I forgive those who may have offended me in anyway, and I also ask those who I may have offended to forgive".

"We have no other Local Government to call our own other than this. I therefore extend my hands of fellowship to the aggrieve parties and to all men and women of goodwill to join hands with me to move our LGA forward. The Management Committee under my leadership would collaborate and work closely with progressive minds in the onerous assignment before us".

"We would also create and maintain synergy with the state Government in ensuring the delivery of the goods to all and sundry. The policy thrust of the Management team under my watch includes but not limited to education, peace and security. We are resolutely committed and would leave no stone unturned in the realization of these objectives".

"The task before us is enormous and therefore, calls for self-denial, uncommon courage, zeal and a firm commitment to the peace, unity and progress of our dear LGA. Arrangements are being put in place to pursue the Jos South of our dream".

"Furthermore, all those who for one reason or the other have found themselves staying away from giving us the desired support are assured that, all issues involved would soon be amicably resolved. Arrangements are also in advanced stages to completely eradicate those things that tend to divide and set us far from each other, we will initiate and implement those things that would unite us within the context of an egalitarian society where everyone would be afforded a sense of belonging".- Dachung said.

Remember, United we stand and divided we fall. Jos South most rise again.
