As Nigerians across divide marked it's 60th independent anniversary of nationhood, the euphoric event is not different in Plateau State as NASCO Group Nigeria celebrate in a grand style.

The company started operations in 1963 with the establishment of a just bag factory in the central city of Jos, Nigeria- the very first in sub Saharan Africa.

A business conglomerate, NASCO Group Nigeria led it by its Executive Chairman, Dr. Attia Nasreddin alluded to the fact their are well aware and solidly committed to sustain it's unique antecedents as Africa's most admired brand.

The 2020 NASCO Group Nigeria 60th independence anniversary which held at the Gen. Hassan Usman Katsina Polo field Jos, saw investiture of Governor Simon Lalong as the Grand Patron of the Jos polo club.

President of Jos polo club, Alhaji Murtala Laushi said Lalong's leadership pattern is exceptional which makes him the best Governor Plateau ever had.

He appeal to the Governor to stretch his tentacles and revamp polo field for effective tournament in the state.

Speaking shortly after the symbolic tree planting, Governor Simon Lalong charged Plateau citizens to inculcate the culture of tree planting, noting that " immediately Schools resume all students should plant their own trees."

Lalong who expressed dismay over neglect by the previous administration, assured full resumption of polo game in the state soon as polo is key for tourism attraction leading to economic development.

He also said the trade fair which normally hold at polo field will be moving to permanent site to allow the players an ample opportunity to be showcasing their skills devoid hitches.
