The Commissioner of Science and Technology has paid a condolence visit to the family of Istifanus Philip Zih, Chairman, All Progressives Congress Zabot Federal ward who slumbed and died in his house on Saturday at Rasat village of Foron District Barkin-Ladi LGA, Plateau State
The Commissioner, Hon. Gyang Dung Musa led a team of personalities to include; the Management Committee Secretary Barkin-Ladi LGC, Special Assistant's to the Governor, Supervisory Councilors and Party leaders to the deceased family’s residence at Rasat village, Foron District of Barkin-Ladi LGA.
During the visit, the Commissioner said, the loss of the Party Chairman is not only to his immediate family but to the entirety of the people and Goverment of Plateau State. The contributions the deceased has rendered to the community cannot be overemphasized, he will be remembered for the sacrifices he has offered to the people".
"We as a Goverment, having acknowledged the contributions of the deceased and I want to assure you as a family that; Goverment will reciprocate such gestures by ensuring that, the wife and children are assisted appropriately"- Hon. Musa said.
The Commissioner prayed for the repose of the soul of Istifanus, and also asked God to grant the family, friends and well wishers the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Similarly, the Secretary Management Committee of Barkin-Ladi Local Goverment Council who was there on behalf of the Management Chairman of the Council has also commiserated with the family and friends of the deceased.
In his remarks, Hon. Capt Rwang Dusu, said the demised of the Late Party Chairman came to them with great shock!. Saying the Council has loss Mr Istifanus at a time his services is needed darely in the development of Barkin-Ladi LGA.
Responding on behalf of the family, a younger brother to the deceased Comr. Prince Barnabas Philip Zih appreciated the team for the visit. He said, the coming has further strengthen the family in this time of their bereavement, while urging the Commissioner to please device ways of assisting the wife and children as promised.
Comr. Barnabas said, burial of Late Istifanus Philip Zih has been fixed for Wednesday 9th-December, 2020. He added that, Corpse will depart Nerad Mortuary Hospital Bisichi at 8:00a.m for Service at LGEA Primary School Rasat village, Foron District of Barkin-Ladi LGA.
