Stakeholders of the All progressive Congress, APC, in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State said they have concluded arrangements ahead of the forthcoming  APC membership registration exercise in the area.

The stakeholders who unanimously pledged their resolved to ensure the success of the exercise  during an emergency meeting of the party (APC) at the Local Government Secretariat in Jos, said they would work assiduously without any differences to ensure smooth registration of its members.

The  meeting was held to fashion out ways on how to conduct the registration of APC members in line with the ideals of the party and to adopt other necessary measures for members to turn up for the exercise based on the safety protocol of COVID 19.

Declaring the meeting open, the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North LGC  Shehu Usman stressed that the doors of the party remains open for any person or group whose intention is geared towards adding values to the ideals of the APC in the locality, state and National level.
 
Usman assured that the forthcoming registration  exercise will be fair for all interested person's in the area, adding that a high powered monitoring and evaluation Committee shall be constituted by the party to ensure that the exercise is done according to the party guidelines.

State commissioner of Transport Mohammed Abubakar and his counterpart on Special Duties and Non Governmental Organization, Jeremiah Werr assured that the party under Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State remains committed to carry every one along, irrespective of religious and ethnic difference in other to strengthen the party towards a solid foundation driven by the philosophy of establishing the party in the first instance.

They used the occasion to commend the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Bala Usman for his commitment towards galvanizing the party in line with the vision of Governor Simon Bako Lalong and promised to support him at all times.

They also affirmed that the party will adopt easier ways to enable fully participation by creating many registration points.

APC caretaker Chairman of Jos North Local Government  Sani Gangare commended stakeholders of the area for always coming out in numbers to ensure the progress of the Party.

Other stakeholders who attended the meeting were former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Peter Azi, Former Management Committee Chairmen of Jos North Local Government Council Theresa Azi and Philip Nyam as well as an elder statesman Abuka Azi, amongst others. 

The stakeholders pledged  to mobilise their people at the grassroots to fully participate in the party's registration exercise.
