A group under the aegis of Moekwo Youth Development Movement(MYMD), has made a passionate appeal to Plateau State Government for the interest of equity, justice and fairness to fast rack the process of installation of the "Long Kwo" of Kwo Chiefdom in Qua'anPan Local Government Area.

The Moekwo Youth who stage a protest in a local government area, dressed in black attires with placards of different inscriptions, said the traditional Stool of Long Kwo remain vacuum long over due.


Addressing the protesters,National President of MYDM, Livinus Adi said the installation of the Long Kwo will foster peaceful coexistence and development of the area.

Adi while commending the Rescue Administration of governor Simon Lalong for giving prompt attention to the traditional institution, urged him to give the Long Kwo the attention it deserves.

He lamented that the people have been without its paramount ruler for over a three decades since the demise of Long Kwo Hoomkwap Sule, a development which has impacted negatively on the socio economic development of the area.



 He enjoined youths in the area to embrace peaceful coexistence, urging them to give the Rescue Administration of Governor Simon Lalong unflinching support to enable it to succeed.

Adi equally called on all major stakeholders in the area to close ranks and put their differences aside in order to ensure genuine development of the Chiefdom.
