Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Abok Ayuba has described as devastating and a difficult moment for the State ( especially the youth) the rising cases of death in the state (involving especially some notable Elderstatesmen).


The Speaker stated this during separate condolence visit to residences of the deceased families in Jos.

The Condolence Visit took the Speaker Abok Ayuba and his entourage to the resident of the late Jimmy Cheto at Naraguta Avenue,that of Late Danjuma Maina at Number B,Gyel Close as well as the resident of late Engineer Bitrus Zang at Million Quarters.



The team also condoled with the Family of late Retired Assistant Inspector General of Police,Dan Bature at Rayfield, that of former Chairman of Jos South, late Da James Haruna, and a former Secretary to the State government, Ezekiel Gomos at his resident, Gold and Base over the demised of his Wife,Hauwa.



Condoling the familes separately on behalf of members and staff of the house, the Speaker, Abok Ayuba described the deceased as role models, stressing that their contributions and mentorship role for the youth will greatly be missed.


While praying for the repose of the souls of the deceased and for God to Comfort the Families, the Speaker admonished them to accept what happened in good faith.


Responding separately, representatives of the deceased families appreciated the Speaker and members of the house for the show of love and Concern.

Accompanied the Speaker on the Condolence Visit were the Majority leader, Naanlong Daniel, Member representing Pankshin North,Philip Dasun, His Chief of Staff, Agwom Ajiji and Some of his Aides.
