Commissioner of Police Plateau State Command,CP Edward C. Egbuka have shower accolades on Governor Simon Lalong for ascending into law the Anti-Kidnapping, Land grabbing, cultism and violence-related matters bill.
According to him;" I wish to use this opportunity to earnestly thank His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Simon Bako Lalong, for his material and intangible support in our fight against crime in the state and for signing into law the Anti-Kidnapping, Land Grabbing, Cultism and Violence-Related Matters Bill."
CP Egbuka make the remarks on Wednesday in Jos while briefing Journalists as the command Paraded 39 suspects of various crime across Plateau.
"I enjoin members of the public to remain vigilant, security conscious and continue to maintain strong synergy with the police and other security agencies through volunteering of credible information that would lead to the arrest of criminals in the State."
He also revealed that the law enforcement agencies have been directed to begin enforcement of the Federal Government directives on the COVID-19 pandemic protocol, particularly the wearing of face masks in public and maintaining social distance, inter alia.
"So, to avoid embarrassment and the trauma of being arrested for contravening the law, members of the public are warned to adhere strictly to these directives.
"The Police and other law enforcement agencies will very soon embark on combine operations to arrest offenders and no one contravening the directives will be spared", the CP warned.
