The Management Committee Chairman of Barkin-Ladi LGC, Da Hon. Jock Alamba has commiserated with the family and the good people of Kakpwis over the demise of the acting Gwom Kakpwis.

The chairman who was at the palace of the late monarch on Saturday described the news of the death as sad.

Hon. Jock Alamba in his message to the Royal family, Chiefs and stakeholders, described the late acting Gwom Kakpwis as "a much-loved, visionary monarch who made an important contribution to cultural identity, national unity, and economic development in Barkin-Ladi and through this, to the development of the State and country as a whole.

“The sad news comes at a time when we had all been hopeful that His Royal Highness was going to give more of his wealth of experiences to the community. 


Hon. Jock offered his sympathies and prayers to the royal family, to the Kakpwis nation, and to the people of Barkin-Ladi and beyond, for whom the king was an important symbol of history, culture, and heritage.”


He prayed God to grant the late monarch eternal rest.
