The remains of Ujah Anaguta, His Royal Highness Pozoh Jauro Magaji has finally laid to rest in his home town, Nabor district of Jos North Local Government Area,Plateau State.
The Paramount ruler who joined his ancestors on Saturday 27th March, 2021, at the age of 72 spent 43 years on the throne.
He was first ascended the throne as acting district head from 'Anagalan family of Nabor Chiefdom' in 1978 before he became a second class in 2002 and elevated to first class by Governor Simon Lalong in 2020.
Speaking during the funeral service at Rwang Pam Township Stadium on Tuesday, Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong described the late monarch as lover of all and man of peace.
Arising from insinuations by various sections of the society that Government mostly interfere on the selection process of traditional Stool, Lalong said it is not under his jurisdiction.
" Since my assumption into office I did not interfere in the selection of any traditional ruler.
"Allow free and fair selection of next Ujah Anaguta because when there is fairness and justice peace will prevail", Governor Lalong stated.
Chairman of Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, Gbong Gwom Jos, Gyang Jacob Buba who also lend his voice charged king makers to be just and truthful in the selection process of next Ujah Anaguta.
Gbong Gwom Jos said the traditional class will continue supporting government policies and programmes.
However, national president of Anaguta Development Association, ADA, Sunday Garba Bunu appreciates Governor Lalong for considering Anaguta sons and daughters in administration.
