Hon. Haruna Maitala, member representing Jos North/Bassa federal constituency in the National Assembly rejoice with Christian faithfuls on this auspicious occasion of Easter celebration.

The Hon. member acknowledges the fact that Easter is one of the most important events in the lives of Christians.

According to press statement signed by the media consultant to the Honourable member Mr. Joseph Adudu said,it is for this reason that he recalls with a painful heart how the COVID - 19 pandemic last year hampered the occasion, forcing faithfuls to worship in their abodes. 

"Today, the story is different as Christian faithfuls congregate in their various places of worship to mark the occasion. 

"This is made possible through our collective efforts in  ensuring adequate awareness and strict adherence to COVID - 19 safety protocols and government orders which has helped in reducing the spread of the disease drastically.

"Let us continue to support those in authority in order to provide the enabling environment for positive development in all spheres of our lives.
"It is in this regard that I am appealing to Christians (especially those in Jos North and Bassa) to use this occasion to spread love and tolerance for a glorious society.

"While I congratulate you once more as you celebrate, I urge you to continue observing the COVID - 19 safety protocols".
