The former Director-General of GIABA, His Excellency, Prof. Abdullahi Y. Shehu, who was recently appointed Nigerian Ambassador to Russia, resumes in Moscow on Saturday, June 5, 2021. 

Professor Shehu is an astute administrator, a reformer, and a seasoned diplomat. 



He is set to enhance the Nigerian and African relationship with Russia. One of his set priorities is economic partnerships that will revitalize the Iron and steel industry in Nigeria, a move he has started before his resumption. 

Amb. Shehu is one Ambassador to lookout for. 

He was received at the Moscow International Airport by some African ambassadors, officials of the Nigerian embassy in Russia, and the Nigerian community in Russia.
