Plateau State Government has outline activities to usher in 2021 June 12 Democracy Day celebration.

This year celebration will be Nigeria's 22nd years of uninterrupted democracy having embark on civilian government in 1999.

The commissioner of in information and communication, Honourable Dan Manjang said programme is symbolic to mark Governor's Simon Lalong two years of second term in office.

He said Lalong's administration has recorded a tremendous success that is anchored by three points policy thrust which includes; sustainable peace, security and good governance, Infrastructural development and entrepreneurship and economic rebirth.

Manjang made the assertion while addressing Journalists on Sunday in old Government House Rayfield, Jos the state capital.

According to him" Governor Lalong will commission projects in the three Senatorial zone of the state as part of his mid term celebration of his second term in office.

"He will start the commissioning, and flag off projects on the 9th June 2021 at the Southern zone of the state and round up on June 12 at the Northern zone."

Manjang also disclose that the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Secretariat being remodel Lalong administration will be commissioned.

There will be a special Muslim prayer on Friday June 11, special golf kitty as well as Town Hall meeting to mark the June 12 Democracy Day.

Earlier, an interdenominational church service held on Sunday at Government House chapel, Rayfield Jos as part of activity to mark June 12.
