Following incessant attacks on Villages, a group non as Plateau Our Heritage (POH) had on Monday said deliberate efforts must be employed by both the Federal and state Government to flush out  killer herdsmen/terrorists from the surroundings in the state .

They further urged security operatives to go after those attacking Innocent villagers and made to   pay for their heinous actions as that would serve as a deterrence to those that may take advantage of its lukewarm response to these dastardly threats to our existence as a people.

The group in a statement signed by it's chairman Hon. Alex Kwapnoe reads that: "as a group we are totally disappointed  with the body language of the government  at all levels on the war that has been declared on the people of the state.

The statement also  added that: "It is not in doubt that the Plateau man is a peaceful person and has opened his doors to all manner of people to the point that as it is today, he is gradually losing grip of these doors as the enemy has taken his peaceful disposition  for granted and are using their size, economic cloud and by all means to chase him from his God given ancestral abode."

Our correspondent observed in recent times, that apart from the daily kidnappings, killings in Jos city and plateau lands, the enemies have device another plot by engaging in the decimation of unripe farm crops with the government at local  and state level paying irrelevant lip service as usual.

It has also gathered during the weekend between Saturday and Sunday about 17 people were reportedly killed while over 200 houses destroy by Fulani herdsmen in different villages in Bassa Local Government Area.

The group lamented that "We are further worried over the unabated attacks which point to the fact that the government and its agencies are either overwhelmed or are in support of the ongoing carnage in the communities; especially in Miango (Bassa), Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Jos south and Bokkos LGAs axis with no arrests of any sort, even when victims have said it times without number; that their tormentors are sponsored and fully armed herdsmen.

The  group also mentioned that:" a situation where over 40 hectares of farmlands with variety of crops completely destroyed beyond resurrection and growth is a delicate matter that is deliberately employed to not only impoverished the state and it's citizens; but to intimidate and exterminate the people through hunger and violence.

"We stand bold to challenge the government to either do the needful and save the situation by directing the Operation Safe Haven, OPSH, to relocate to the area which also shares boundary with neighbouring Kaduna state and to accept the fact that it is part of the plot to undermining the existence of the communities".

Kwapnoe said government should urgently take inventory of the distributions of both human and farm resources and arrange to compensate them and equally live up to its bidding of safeguarding lives and properties of the citizens.
