The Plateau state chapter of the Queen Amina Support Initiative  ( QASI )  on Wednesday  drummed its support for  former governor of Benue State, George Akume  for the position of  the National Chairmanship of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).


Secretary  of the group Idoko Ada  , made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos .


The group maintained that former Governor Akume is eminently qualified to contest the National Chairmanship position of the APC and would take the party to greater heights .


The statement reads that Akume who is the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs,  has all the leadership qualities, political sagacity and wide range of experiences to move the party forward.

It added that the former governor, if elected, would unite the party stressing that they have confidence in his leadership qualities .


The group described Akume who is a Nigerian politician as the best man for the Job .


"They pledged  to move to every part of the country to ensure that he emerges as the National Chairman of the party because he has all it takes to take the party forward


"We have decided to prevail on Senator Akume  to contest the chairmanship position and we will offer him our support at the national convention ."


The group  is made up of young Nigerians all across the breath of the country with leadership structure down to the ward level .
