Senator I. D. Gyang Deputy Chairman Senate Committee on Defence representing Plateau North Senatorial District has noted with concern the security breach and jailbreak at the Jos Medium Security Correctional Centre on Sunday 28/11/21 and calls for the reinforcement of physical protection system and security mechanism at Correctional Centers across the nation.


Senator Gyang however notes with commendation the spirited fight that the wardens and other security agents put up against the invaders. He particularly singled out Warder Umar A. Mohammed (Kaltis) from Langai, Pyem Chiefdom who lost his life in the duel against the attackers.


Senator Gyang empathizes with the family of the slain hero and pray for the repose of his gallant soul while wishing the wounded speedy recovery and healing.
