Five goals thriller is all enough for team Plateau United football club of Jos to overcome Dakkada FC of Akwa Ibom in match day 6 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) 2021/2022 season.

The two time champions Plateau United which played host to visiting Dakkada FC in Jos International Stadia, Zaria road on Sunday dominate possession from the beginning to the stoppage time of 90 minutes of the encounter.

Despite missing plethora of chances, Peace boys (Plateau United) were able to bagged five goals thriller against their opponent to secured three maximum points.

Reuben Bala open the scoreline for home side in 15 minutes before Sunday Anthony got a brace in both half (22 and 73 minutes) while Akila Jesse registered his goal in 67 minutes and Albert Hilary who came from the bench to sealed victory for Plateau United in 90+2 minutes.

Chief coach of Plateau United Hamza Abara who expressed optimism with the victory and players performance said " honestly speaking this is what we have bargain with the players.

"For a team like Dakkada FC playing home and away with Nasarawa United which they have won and secured a draw honestly we need to redouble our efforts. I think this is just the beginning.

"Like I always told you ours is to teach and coach the boys but we cannot go into the pitch and score for them. They are responding to our training and instructions and that is what we want from them.

"Dakkada FC are very good side with very good cohesion. But unfortunately today is very bad day for them". Abara stated.

However, the chief coach of visiting Dakkada FC Umar Danlami said his boys lost total concentration of the game which leads to their defeat.

"Sometimes game could go like that when a team losses focus and concentration. Sometimes you got it right, sometimes you lost but then whatever it comes today we accept it.

"Well, Plateau United have their plan and it went well for them! We are going back home to strategize ahead next game."

Meanwhile, Plateau United are playing host to Nasarawa United on Wednesday midweek as Dakkada FC welcome Wikki Tourist FC of Bauchi in match day 7 of NPFL 2021/2022 season.
