The vision founder of Molkyakar dream initiative for peace and charity (MODIPAC), Amb. Duwam Bosco said it is quite unfortunate and disheartening that Nigerians value political rally than focusing priority attention on peace education, " it is something that needs prayer."
Bosco who is a retired military personnel acknowledged that Nigeria development is in shamble over the years because people are playing lip service in respect to peace and harmonious coexistence.
He made the remarks on Thursday in Jos during the 2022 Plateau Peace Pack tagged " closing the gaps ethnic and political intolerance."
He said MODIPAC has been in the business of promoting peace, religious tolerance and supporting the vulnerable in the society.
According to him, in a society where there are issues competing for our attention to regulate it, our collective responsibilities in the spirit of positive minds to make a bold step towards educating ourselves on the need for tolerance, trust among ourselves and show of genuine love to each other irrespective of our differences became sacrosanct for the damage caused by intolerance is more devastating. MODIPAC has a vision for better plateau and assure future for Nigeria.
Consequently, "equipping the future generation and impacting the life of the vulnerable is a road map for sustaining peaceful co-existence in Plateau State and indeed in Nigeria. Plateau and indeed Nigeria should unite and refuse to see Nigeria as a nation of two sides where money and power unite the rich, while poverty and religion keep dividing the poor, this is MODIPAC message to true Nigerians.
"Chosen the path of ethnic-religious and political tolerance is obeying God’s commands, it can be said that people who never witnessed war will think war is just shooting guns and killings people, they forget that war is starvation, rape, deprivation of movement, intimidation of other religion, fear, lack of access to social amenities, loosing what is valuables to you and to the nation, war is bad governance, etc to avoid all these, our prayer is for God to make us an instruments of peace where there is hatred let sow love, where there is injury we pardon, where there is darkness we light the environment.
"In struggling to achieve peace, we should behave like a wise lion who don’t make noise while hunting, he hunt silence and eat noisily else such lion will starve and die, we will never die in ignorance of seeking for peace silently by using the advocators of peace and let the society celebrates your peace ventures.
"Where are the lover of peace on the plateau today? If it was a political rally, this Hall by now would have filled to its capacity. But they all forgot that peaceful environment is the base of good governance, for those who answered the call for the closing of ethnic-religion and political intolerance on the Plateau are the genuine lover of peace in plateau and in Nigeria", Amb. Bosco mentioned.

Was a very good one indeed. Must people respect political meetings more than peace innovations.
