The member representing Jos North-North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly and standard bearer for All Progressive Congress, APC, for Jos North Bassa Federal Constituency in the 2023 Nigeria's elections, Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan has congratulates Hon. Gwani Mohammad Alkali Over his affirmed victory at the Appeal Court.

Recall the appellate Court sitting in Jos on Friday 28th October, 2022, sack Hon. Musa Agah of People's Democratic Party(PDP) and declared Mohammad Alkali as the sole winner of Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency bye-election that held on 26th February, 2022.

In a congratulatory message Hon. Baba Hassan said, "I received the news of the victory of my brother, Hon Gwani Muhammad Adam Alkali, OON  at the Court of Appeals today with great relief and excitement knowing fully well how election cases can be intriguing and energy sapping. 

"I personally congratulate him for this victory at both the Tribunal and Appeal Court. I wish him well as he takes steps to bend down to start work for this important, vibrant and divergent constituency.

"I will not fail in my duty to call on the new member to be magnanimous in victory and carry everyone alone in the constituency now that he is a representative of all irrespective of party affiliation, ethnic background or faith. 

"To my friend Hon Agah, i call on him to take heart and have solace in the fact that he fought gallantly and lost as a true democrat. We always live to fight another in a democracy. 

"It is my ardent prayer that Bassa-Jos North and indeed Plateau State and the country at large will continue to thrive peacefully moreso, as we are approaching another general elections. All hands should always be on deck to ensure a peaceful election at all levels.
