Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the ruling All Progressive Congress,APC, Plateau State chapter had received a morale booster as over five thousand (5,000) decampees from the major opposition parties, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and People's Redemption Party (PRP) joined APC ship.

The member representing Jos North-North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly and also a standard bearer of APC in 2023 elections for Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan alongside Plateau State governorship candidate, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda and other party stalwarts received the decampees.

The decampees receives a rousing welcome recently at Government Secondary school Angwan Rogo,Jos North Local Government Area.

Pundits believed that the arrival of the new convert into APC is timely and a plus as it will further propel the party's chances of winning 2023 polls.

However, the party candidates promised to continue canvassing and galvanizing for more votes in the course of their electioneering campaigns, with the assurance to represent the collective will and interest of the masses if given the mandate in 2023.
