Jos, Dec, 8, 2022 (NAN) The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State Barr Caleb Mutfwang has said the presidential candidate of the party Atiku Abubakar will win the election in Plateau state in the 2023 general elections.
Mutfwang said there was great show of enthusiasm among the people of the state for the PDP ahead of the 2023 and were optimistic of matching to victory.
He stated this yesterday during the inauguration of the Plateau North Senatorial Zone Campaign Council.
He said the 2023 general elections was operation deliver your polling units hence, the expectation of 70 percent votes in Bassa lga, 80 in Jos North, 90 percent in Barkin Ladi, 90 in Riyom, and 100 percent votes in Jos South local government.
"We are the people Atiku is depending on us, Plateau is 5/5, Atiku did not lose elections in 2019, we will deliver him again.
"There is great show of enthusiasm among Plateau people for the PDP and we are matching to victory, we just need to corporate and collaborate."
"We expect nothing less than 70 percent in Bassa, 80 to 90 percent in Barkin Ladi, 90 in Riyom, Jos South is definitely going to be 100 percent.
"The leader of our party Da Jonah Jang has sent his message and he stand for us electing from the president to the state house of assembly candidates in the 2023 general elections in Plateau,” he said.
Mutfwang stressed that the presidential campaign flag-off billed for Dec. 13 will provide Nigerians the opportunity to know the actual party ruling the state aside the bountiful blessings that will come with the exercise.
The state party chairman, Christopher Hassan, said the party's campaign structure was unique and had been adopted by 16 states in the country stating that the structures covers the presidential, governorship, senate and House of Representatives in the 2023 general elections.
The Director General of the Atiku-Okowa/Mutfwang-Piyo Campaign Organization in Plateau, Latep Dabang charged members to remain focused adding that all activities would be stepped down to the grassroot which he said was key to winning elections for the party.
The Plateau PDP Northern Zone chairman, Davou Mang while inaugurating the 258 man Senatorial Campaign Council said that the party would not tolerate any act of sabotage.
Mang said the Northern Senatorial Zone over the years had continued to be the home of the PDP and would not relent in mobilizing votes for all the candidates across all levels. (NAN)
