Mr Abraham Yiljap, the director, Directorate of Media and Publicity Atiku-Mutfwang Campaign Council, has urged the public to disregard misleading reports against the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Barr. Caleb Mutfwang.

Yiljap in a statement issued to journalists in Jos on Friday stated that statements going round was an effort at shopping for relevance and should be treated with disdain and ignomity.

He said that the story with the headline "Plateau PDP Crisis  - Caleb Mutfwang dumps God father Ex-Gov Jang, endorses Atiku Abubakar" was a clever piece to mislead the public.

He said the PDP governorship candidate Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has maintained the same position all through his private and public campaigns, of voting 5/5.

Abraham in the statement said the party has lined up and is solidly standing by and promoting all its candidates from the House of Assembly to the presidency.

He added that Sen. Jang remains a member of the PDP Bot of Trustees and has not categorically told Plateau people and his party that he was engaged in anti-party activities.

He maintained that when the Atiku-Mutfwang Campaign Council was inaugurated, Sen.Jang sent his message of support through the former miniter of Water Resources, Mrs Sarah Ochekpe.

He revealed that the party was ready to receive Atiku in Jos on Tuesday, Dec. 13 for a grand rally promising to deliver him in the elections.
