Senator elect Simon Mwadkon flanked by Rep member elect Musa Agah and other PDP stalwarts

Senator-elect, Plateau Northern senatorial district under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Simon Mwadkon has stated that the governorship election scheduled for 11th March, 2023 is a done deal for the party in the state.

Mwadkon who is currently a member representing Barkin-Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency at the National Assembly Abuja, expressed optimism with the outcome of the National Assembly elections results in the state.

The Lawmaker made the prediction while speaking to newsmen in Jos, Monday, when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him as Plateau North senator elected.

He described his election as a called for service, noting that " it is a burden placing on my shoulder to take responsibility and give good leadership for Plateau northern senatorial zone."

In his words, " Plateau state has always be a home for PDP. Whatever happened in 2015 that brought APC government on board was just a mistake, but Plateau people want to regain their steps because PDP was born in Plateau.

"We have reputable personalities such as late Solomon Lar of blessed memory, Senator Jonah Jang amongst others who are instrumental to the formation of PDP.

" Plateau people are retracing their steps to their original political party where they belonged because PDP has done a lot for the state in terms of human capital development, infrastructural development, security and lots of them.

"Therefore, with the outcome of National Assembly elections result, the 11th March, 2023 governorship election in the state is already a done deal because we're confidence PDP would win..." Mwadkon stated.

The member elect for Jos North/Bassa Federal House of Representatives constituency, Musa Agah said his election is a victory for democracy.

Appreciating the constituents for entrusting him with the mandate, Agah pledged to demonstrate capacity by showcasing effective representation for Jos North/Bassa constituency.

However, our correspondent gathered that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, won 7 out of the 11 National Assembly seats. PDP won 5 House of Representatives seats and 2 Senate seats while the ruling APC won 3 House of Representatives seats.

6. Member Reps-Re-elect, Beni Lar-Langtang North/South, (PDP).

7. Member Reps- Elect,Isaac 
    Kwallu,Shendam/Qua'an-Pan/Mikang(PDP).

8.Rt.Hon.Idris Ahmad Maje Wase, member Rep, Reelected for Wase (APC).

9.Rt.Hon.Adamu Babayo Gagdi member Rep-Reelected,Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam (APC).

10.Member Rep-Reelect,Ishaya Lalu, Mangu/Bokkos, (APC).

However, Plateau central senatorial district seat result is yet to be declared by INEC.
