The executive chairman of Jos Local Government council of Plateau state, Hon.Shehu Bala Usman have challenged citizens to always demonstrate undiluted affection for one another irrespective of religion, ethnicity or political party differences.

Usman reiterated the need to always live in peace, unity and harmony, and eschewed politics of bitterness, noting that, " we should see our diversity as a source of common unity and strength ".

Jos North council Boss who spoke to newsmen over the weekend in his resident in Jos, on the significance of Eid-el-Fitr said Ramadan fasting is the period of total devotion to God, reaching out to the needy and less privileged in the society as well as extended hands of fellowship to all humans.

" we should continued praying for our Nation Nigeria particularly now that we are in a transition period. So that we can have a smooth and peaceful transition to the next incoming government.

"As human beings, we should love one another and see ourselves as one. The politics and everything are temporary. We should play politics without bitterness and within the ambit of the law", he stated.

He further revealed the reason why the 2023 Eid-el-Fitr celebration was peaceful is as a result of collective efforts and aspirations of both the citizens, government and security agents.

" The components that bring about peaceful coexistence is stirring leadership with fairness, equity and justice to all humanity."

The council chairman also confirmed that they have provided palliative in some areas within Jos metropolis by drilling boreholes to cushion the effect of water scarcity.

He assured the determination of Jos North Local council management desire to continues providing more dividends of democracy to populace.
