Plateau Deputy Governor, Mrs Josephine Piyo condoling the mother of deceased Fwinbe Gofwen.

Plateau State Deputy Governor, Mrs Josephine Piyo has visited and condoled Family of Thoma Fwinbe over the loss of their son, Fwinbe Gofwen, who was lynched by a mob at the Domkat Bali Road in Jos on Monday. 

Piyo in a statement described the death of the young Gofwen as painful and regrettable that life was snuffed out of him in an inhumane and ungodly manner.

The deputy governor, who prayed God to grants him eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, called on security agencies to wade into action immediately and bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book. 

She called on citizens of the state to be their brothers' keeper as the state is known for peaceful coexistence and communal living by all.

Mr Simon Gofwan, who spoke on behalf of the family thanked the deputy governor and government of the state for identifying with them in their moment of grief. 

Gofwan called on the government to ensure that the killers of their son are arrested and made to face the consequences of their actions.
