The Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Hon. Samuel Dala Umaru, have expressed determination and commitment towards injecting dividends of democracy to the people.

Umaru, promised to navigate on the existing opportunities and work for the betterment of all in the locality.

The TIC chairman gave the assurance in his Jos resident on Friday, while playing host to Anaguta Development Association (ADA), Targwong District who were on courtesy visit to identify with him over his elevation by the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang.

Appreciating a solidarity Targwong community accorded him, the chairman acknowledged that his appointment is a divine intervention of God as there are more knowledgeable and intelligent people in Anaguta land than him.

According to him, "your part of those that brought Governor Mutfwang on board and we have no option than to look back and give people what belongs to them. We need to salvage our people by doing what is right."

Delivering his goodwill message, chairman of ADA Targwong District, comrade Bagudu Haruna, described the appointment of Hon.Samuel Dala Umaru as well deserved having served in the council as a Councilor Naraguta 'B' the largest ward in Nigeria and held other political positions in Plateau.

Haruna, urged the chairman to create enabling platform for regular consultation with critical stakeholders with the  aim to consolidate and reevaluate the current peaceful and developmental status in the locality for ultimate solutions.

He highlights some critical areas that has to do with security, health, agriculture, road network and other sector of the economy begging for urgent attention in Targwong community.

"Complement our community efforts in the maintenance of security in Targwong considering its vulnerable position as our settlement is sharing boundary with Bauchi State.

"Intervene in the absence of electricity situation in Kunga 2, Rhiza and Kadama villages by connecting such to villages to the national grid through the installment of transformers in those areas.

"Construction of road linking Kunga and Ukadum, the agricultural hub of the area to promote more agricultural activities and create employment to our taming youths in the entire Targwong District and Jos North Local Government in general.

"Intensify reconstruction of Babale Primary Healthcare (PHC) center primary healthcare which is about to collapse and also grossly in short of man power.

"We want to reiterate our resolute position to accord you the necessary support and cooperation to enable you record enviable strides towards unbundling the local government from the shackles of under development." Comrade Haruna stated.

The permanent secretary ministry of Tourism, culture and hospitality who double as chairman stakeholders forum ADA Targwong, Bitrus Jacob Keng, expressed optimism that the chairman has written his name in gold considering the speed of developmental projects springing up in the locality with his few months of assumption in office.

He tasked the TIC chairman to be more courageous in the course of discharging his responsibilities as leadership comes with challenges, admonished him to remain focus in doing the good work for the seek of posterity and future political ambition.

Meanwhile, the District Head of Targwong, Pozoh Aminu Maisamari Dogo prayed God to grant the chairman positive vision in steering the affairs of the council area.
