Governor Caleb Mutfwang has called for more collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force and other security agencies to end the cycle of killings in Plateau and promised more support to security agencies. 

Mutfwang, stated this when he received the Commandant, Air Force War College, Makurdi, AVM Adebayo Kehinde.

The Commandant visited the governor in company of the participants of Course 10,  2024.

Represented by his deputy, Mrs Josephine Piyo, Gov. Mutfwang reiterated his administration's commitment to providing the necessary support and enabling environment for the security to effectively discharge their constitutional responsibilities of protecting the lives and property of citizens in the state.

The governor described the Nigerian Air Force as one of the crucial and critical institutions in the fight against insurgency,  banditry, kidnappings and other forms insecurity in Nigeria. 

Earlier, the Commandant, stated that the 2024 Course 10 participants were in Plateau to undertake a study on armed banditry and its effect on human security in the state. 

Kehinde said that the War College has been closely following the state in the past years and its security challenges, a situation he said needed proper interrogation of the security situation to find lasting solutions. 

He added that all hands must be on deck to tackle the menace to put an end to the current violent attacks on law abiding citizens.

The commandant hoped that at the end of the study, a solution would be developed toward tackling the current challenges Plateau State and Nigeria in general.
