A prominent women group, Coalition Support Women Group has bestowed an award of Excellence on distinguished Senator Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang for his pragmatic representation and people oriented leadership at the National Assembly.


Senator Dachungyang who was pleasantly surprised with the show of solidarity and support by the group noted that he is further encouraged to do more for the people of the Northern Senatorial Zone.


Distinguished Senator Dachungyang reiterated that his main preoccupation at the National Assembly is to pursue the interest of the people, harness and harvest ideas that are geared towards providing viable opportunities as well as protect the common heritage of Plateau people.


In this light, the Distinguished Senator pledged to work closely with such groups with a view to empowering not just women and other vulnerable groups, but the generality of the people in the six local governments making up the zone.


Senator Dachungyang therefore used the opportunity to call on the people to continue to give maximum support to governor Caleb Mutfwang led administration noting that the government means well for the people of the state.


Speaking earlier, northern zone president of the group, Babra Yakubu explained that since coming on stream three years ago, the coalition group despite it's political learnings, is basically focused on supporting and encouraging only political office holders who have passion for the people.


It is in this light, according to her, that the group chose to identify with Distinguished Senator Dachungyang after tracking his style of representation and commendable track record just two months since assuming office.


The president of the group therefore pledge to mobilize it's over 35, 000 members across the six local governments of the zone to support the activities of the distinguished Senator for the betterment of the people.


Prayers were thereafter offered to seek God's divine wisdom and heavenly cover over the Senator and his family.
