Mrs Josephine Piyo, Deputy Governor Plateau State

The Women Fellowship of All Saints Protestant Church (ASPC), 'A' Division Police Barracks, Jos, has honoured the Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Hon. Josephine Piyo, with an Ambassadorial Award for Exemplary Leadership and championing the cause for women in the state. 

Presenting the award, Rev. Andy Ring-Le, stated that, Piyo's exemplary leadership both in the Church, as Deputy Governor, and in championing the cause of women is worthy of emulation, hence the rationale for the honour.

Ring-Le who described the Deputy Governor as the mother of women in the state, said that leaders like her worth celebrated considering her notable achievements throughout her life, visionary leadership, and giant stride as being the second woman to occupy the exalted office of the Deputy Governor in the State. 

Receiving the award, Piyo, stated that the recognition is a significant milestone in her leadership journey which serves as a testament to her hard work and dedication to service. 

The Deputy Governor stated that the support and acknowledgment would inspire her to continue striving for excellence and motivate her to contribute significantly toward the plight of women in the state.
