The Acting Vice Chancellor of Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, Professor Shedrack Gaya Best, has formally taken over the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Centre, funded by the 2020 TETFUND Zonal Intervention. 

Professor Best urged the university community to take full ownership of the facility by maintaining it to stand the test of time.

The project, awarded to Humble Rock Company in conjunction with Doiltz Consultants Firm Limited in 2020, involved the construction and furnishing of the ICT centre for the benefit of the university community. 

Inspecting the quality and standard of the edifice,the acting Vice chancellor in company of the Deputy Vice Chancellor academic Professor Moses Pyefa and the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration Associate Professor Jurji Gomos, alongside the bursar and the Librarian,Professor Shedrack Best directed the contract to immediately ensure that all left over debris be cleared from the site while minor touches be completed in two days.

Professor Best noted that the ICT centre will serve as a medium to bridge the communication gap between PLASU and other sister universities across the globe through knowledge sharing.

 He expressed gratitude to TETFUND for their intervention in various areas and acknowledged the efforts of successive Vice Chancellors of the university for their doggedness in providing a conducive environment for learning. He promised to consolidate on their legacies.

The ICT centre,has one hundred cubicles and eighty computer sets, which is a significant addition to the university's infrastructure and will enhance the learning experience for students and faculty members.
