The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Elders Forum  in Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State have called on the State Chapter to disregard the lies and fake press statement made by the Transition Implementation Committee, ITC, Chairman of the council, Hon.Nanmwa Kumzhi accusing the LGA stakeholders of hijacking the three man squad sent to conduct ward congresses.

In a press conference held in Langtang North by the PDP Elders Forum described as unfounded rumour and fake allegations that the election went on peacefully without any hitches.

According to the Elders Forum, the TIC chairman,Hon.Nanmwa Kumzhi presented falsehood information that drew their attention on Monday 29th July,2024 to brainstorm and discuss on the unfortunate , fake press release on 28th July,2024 on the just concluded wards Congress as we resolve as follow.

We thank the Governor Caleb Mutfwang on how God is using him to stabilize the party in the state,the governor in his wisdom decided to appeal to the party members to readmit those who played the card of anti-party activities in the last election to be consider .

According to them,those from the opposition parties should wait until after the conclusion of the ward congresses contrary to this directive the TIC chairman abused the order of Mr Governor went ahead and forcefully admitted some members of APC into the party just a day to the conduct of the ward congresses.

However, those who were readmitted on Friday 26th July,2024 were the ones who didn't want the congress to hold in Langtang North LGA ,they were demanding that their names most be included in the register of 150 names submitted bin every registered in all the wards .

The statement disclosed that,they brought their own names and demanded that their names most be included , infact , some came with fake PDP voters card for example this happen in Kwampe and Miyak of Dadur district of Langtang North.

We noted that these people are not members of the PDP as of the time of the ward congresses schedule when the lists of people were comply.The TIC chairman wanted to install his own loyal people by force who came through the backdoor from another political parties of APC ,LP and those that were even suspended from the party due to anti-party activities after the governor directive.

The Elders Forum also accused Kumzhi that since assumption of office he hasn't any regards to the party in the council , Kumzhi preferred to work with those who fought for the victory of the party in 2023 general elections.

They pointed out that a lot of effort were made by the elders to see him and advice him on how to strengthen the relationship but he didn't give them audience or listening ears.We want to trace it to he was not in the country when PDP members were struggling with APC members in Langtang North and he prefers to work with those that fought the party and even voted against the governor and those who contested for the 2023 elections.

Whenever,he is contacted he has this to say,"I don't have anybody in Langtang North LGA except he receive instructions from the governor .

We are calling on the party leadership to rely on prayers this evening as follows: we are calling on party leadership in the state to disregard the purported press statement of Nanmwa Kumzhi because elections took place in all the 14 Federal wards in Langtang North LGA through the zoning arrangements and consensus candidates emerged which was done in accordance to PDP constitution allow.

We are calling on the party leadership to rely on the reports from INEC officials and the security agencies that monitored the exercise and filed in their final report.And also the team of sent by the state Chapter on the Conduct of ward congresses held in Langtang North LGA.

Finally, we wish our party a successful outing in the forthcoming LGs elections scheduled to hold on the 9th October,2024.
