The People's Democratic Party (PDP) councillorship candidate for Vanderpuye ward in Jos North local government area of Plateau State, Hon. Okoro Uzoma Anthony has stated that the PDP candidates contesting the 9th October, 2024, elections are people of reputable character.

Hon.Anthony believed that Governor Caleb Mutfwang had already set templates for development which the incoming chairmanship and councillorship are ready to complement.

He made this known on Monday while speaking with newsmen in Jos as he officially round up his electioneering campaign in tandem with Plateau Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) timetable.

He assured that if elected to represent the good people of Vanderpuye ward at Jos North legislative council is ready to work assiduously in collaboration with the incoming chairmanship candidate, Barr. John K. Chris to address insecurity and sponsor bills that will improve the socioeconomic well-being of the people.

According to Anthony, " I want to thank everyone that turned out to show solidarity to this great movement and for the assurance and confidence you have in me. I want to reassure  that together the new Vanderpuye is possible.
 
"The Vanderpuye that will be secured, the Vanderpuye that will enhance women and youth empowerment as well as address multiple taxation bedeviling businesses by trying our possible best to sponsor bills that would make the environment suitable for business to flourish. 

"I want everybody to have confidence on PDP candidates. Every candidature that is in Jos North and other local governments across Plateau have been thoroughly screen both by the party, PLASIEC, and DSS. 

"I want you to know that people that are candidate in PDP are people of high repute. We have men of reputable character", Anthony added.

You would recall that the electoral umpire (PLASIEC) has already set out modalities of conducting elections for 17 chairmanship and 325 councillorship positions across Plateau State.
