Plateau United Football Club of Jos, has vehemently debunked in strong terms rumored making the rounds on various social media platforms that licenses belonging to it's newly signed players have been withdrawn as a result of outstanding salary and debt.
Management of the club said such narratives is baseless, falsehood, and misrepresentation of facts.
This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen in Jos by the Director media Plateau United FC, Yaksat Maklek, urging the general public to disregard the false information.
According to the statement, Plateau United FC Officially debunk claims making the rounds on Social media and other news platforms that licenses belonging to it's newly registered players have been withdrawn as a result of outstanding salary debts,saying it is completely false.
"Management's Position is clear that the matter decided via the Players' And Clubs' Status Committee has nothing to do with outstanding salary debts but relating to the transfer of a certain player from Gombe State based football Club, Yarma light.
"The said player has signed for Plateau United FC On Loan three seasons ago,just before the current General Manager, Habila Hosea Mutla came on board.
"Findings reveal that the said player's agent had written an agreement with Plateau United FC That A Two Million Naira Compensation Upon The Completion of the Player's deal will be paid, an agreement said to be violated by the Club To Eventually Attract a Five - million Naira Compensation verdict by the Players' and Clubs' Status Committee.
"Plateau United's attempt to Appeal the verdict failed and as a result, compelled to meet the demands of it.
"The true position provides that the newly registered players will not be allowed to play except if that compensation verdict is settled and not in any way related to non payment of Players salaries."
The statement further revealed that the Plateau United general manager, Mutla equally Added that since his inception of office,Players welfare has been paramount in his policies and as at now, players remuneration stands at a hundred percent compliance across the men's, women's and youth teams respectively.
He equally stressed that my anagement will look Intently on the source of the rumours and consider pressing charges where necessary.
Mutla called on fans to be rest assured that the matter has been professionally dealt with no cause for concern expected.
Plateau United FC face Sunshine Stars Of Akure In Jos on Sunday, October 27th in a Match Day 9 NPFL25 Schedule, the statement concluded.
