The General Manager, Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Hosea Habila, has been bestowed with leadership peace award of excellence.
Mutla's excellence leadership award confirmation was spearheaded by the Coalition of Nigeria Women Forum for Peace and Good Governance, held at the Plateau United Secretariat in Jos on Thursday.
Stressing the rationale behind the accolade, Coordinator Coalition of Nigeria Women Forum for Peace and Good Governance, Amb. Ruth Ishaku, revealed pragmatic leadership skills of Plateau United GM inspired them to honor him.
"Since assumption of office as the General Manager Plateau United Football Club, you have demonstrated capacity as ultimate symbol of true Nigeria which prioritize peace and Nation building, and we are pleased to be associated with you sir!"
She further mentioned that the coalition is at the forefront of advocating for girl child education and fight against child marriage.
Recalled, the recent accolade is one among many gave to the general manager. Some of the awards earlier received includes; Media Friendly General Manager by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Plateau State Council, Peace Ambassador award by Inter-Religious Youth Affairs for Peace and Unity (IRYAFPU).
Receiving the award alongside other management team, Plateau United GM, Hosea Habila Mutla reaffirmed commitment towards continue injecting purposeful leadership to the club, saying, "we want to live Plateau United better than the way we met it...."
Mutla acknowledged that the award is a clear testament that Plateau United is progressing, and a wake up call for him to do more, noting they have received many accolades within a short span of time in office.
While commending the coalition for honoring him, the GM charged them not to be discourage and remained resolute, dogged and consistent towards actualizing a better Nigeria.
He urged Plateau citizens to accord support to Governor Caleb Mutfwang to deliver more dividends of democracy.
On the issue of three points, three goals deduction as well as playing three home matches behind closed door and other fine slammed to Plateau United by the League Management Company of Nigeria, following their match day 11 encounter with the reigning champion, Enugu Rangers, Mutla said they have already appeal the verdict.
He pleaded with all Plateau United fans to remain calm as the club keep a date with Nasarawa United in match day 13 of the NPFL on Sunday 24th November, 2024.
He also appreciates media for promoting the club in positive light and sue for more robust collaboration. Expressed confidence that despite upheaval United will secure Continental ticket.
