The executive chairman of
Qua'an-Pan Local Government Council Christopher Manship Wallat has presented a whooping sum of N9,261,605,558.09 billion as budget proposal for the fiscal year 2025 to the Legislative arm.
Presenting the budget at the Council's legislative chamber in Qua'an-pan on Wednesday, tagged " Budget of Consolidation and Infrastructural Development," Wallat revealed it aims to drive growth and development of the Local Government area.
Based on the breakdown of the budget proposal, the Sum of five billion, two Hundred and Seventy-Five Thousand, five hundred and fifty-eight Naira, nine kobo only is set aside for recurrent expenditure while capital expenditure has three billion, twenty six million, four hundred and twenty seven thousand, eight hundred and seventy seven Naira Only is for Capital expenditure as well as Liability which stands at Five Hundred and forty eight million Naira Only.
The council chairman explained that the budget will be funded by the monthly allocations from the Federal Government and the internally generated revenue.
He pointed out that his administration has outlined key infrastructure projects for 2025.
This includes the Construction of a Mini Stadium in Baap, Construction of new administrative Complex at the Council Secretariat, Road Rehabilitation and Grading, Construction of Culverts and Drainages, as well as
Renovation and Activation of Local Government Filling Station in Doemak, Renovation of the Primary Health Centre Gidan Dabat in Kwande District and Shendai in Namu District, Solarization of District headquarters, Rehabilitation of Lo Local Government INEC Road, Rehabilitation of Doemak Township stadium and renovation of LGEA complx Doemak.
Others are purchase of Earth Moving Equipments for quick service delivery and cost-effectiveness, Construction of Chairman's official residence in Ba'ap, Rehabilitation of Doemak Township road and Drainages and laterite fillings of Kwalla-Kwoor as well as renovation of the Legislative Chambers among others.
Wallat added that the consolidation and Infrastructural Development is tailored towards delivering, improved access to education, Health, social services, Agriculture, Youth and Women Empowerment.
He appealed to citizens of the locality to support his Administration and that of Governor Mutfwang which is committed to giving people in the Locality a new look.
Responding, Leader of Quaan Pan Local Government Legislative Arm, Kenaan Luka assured the Chairman of speedy passage of the budget to ensure the progress of the area.
