As 2025 farming season deepened, councillor representing Vanderpuye ward and deputy leader of Jos North legislative arm, RT. Hon. Okoro Uzoma Anthony has distributed free fertilizer to farmers.

The gesture is aimed at addressing production capacity and enhancing food sufficiency.

Speaking during the fertilizer distribution on Friday in Vanderpuye ward, Jos North local government area of Plateau, Anthony acknowledged the initiative is in tune with his promises during electioneering campaign.

"This is a Vanderpuye project regardless of partisanship on the basis of ethnicity, religion or political affiliation", said Anthony.

He promised to continue spearheading programs that would improve the economic and social wellbeing of people in Vanderpuye ward.
He appreciates governor Caleb Mutfwang leadership prowess which intensified the provision of the fertilizer to all 17 local governments in the state, and also council chairman of Jos North, Barr. John Christopher who subsidized the price for farmers accessibility in each ward.

Dispelling the rumour circulating that governor Mutfwang is defecting to APC from PDP, Anthony tasked constituents to disregard such narratives as the governor is focusing on development, admonish them to continue supporting PDP administration in the state and local governments.

Jos North council chairman, John Christopher, represented by the council secretary, Pharmacist Gyang Samuel applauded Anthony creating the avenue to ensure fertilizer goes across board, noting that the gesture will go a long way to enhance unity and development in Vanderpuye ward.
