The immediate past Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House (General Administration), Idris Salihu Kwando, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe on the passing of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda Goshwe, who recently died at the age of 83.
Kwando described Mama Lydia as a woman of virtue, deep faith, and unwavering commitment to family and community whose life is defined by sacrifice, humility, and the pursuit of values that shaped not only her children but also everyone who had the privilege of encountering her.
He noted that the remarkable life Mama Lydia lived is reflected in the sterling character and leadership qualities of her son, Prof. Nentawe, noting that her legacy of service, discipline, and love will continue to inspire generations yet unborn.
The former Deputy Chief of Staff further encouraged the family to take solace in the knowledge that Mama Lydia has gone to rest after a fulfilled life of impact and devotion to God.
He prayed for divine strength for Prof. Nentawe and the entire Yilwatda family during this moment of grief.
Kwando finally prayed for the peaceful repose of Mama Lydia’s soul, while expressing hope that the family will be comforted by the memories of her good works, enduring legacy, and the joy of a life well lived.
