Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, has sympathised with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, over the passing away of his beloved mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda, who died at the Jos University Teaching Hospital at the age of 83.

Naanlong in his condolence message , described  late Mama Lydia as a pillar of strength to her family and a devout Christian who dedicated her life to service, prayer, and the nurturing of her children.

He commended Mama Lydia’s unflinching support to her husband, the late Reverend Toma  Yilwatda, during his distinguished service as a minister of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), noting that together they contributed immensely to the growth of the Church across Plateau and beyond.

Rt. Hon. Daniel further noted that the  deceased  left behind a lasting legacy of humility, compassion, and devotion, which is clearly reflected in the achievements of her children, including her son, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, who today serves as the National Chairman of the APC.

He noted that her prayers, wise counsel, and motherly guidance will be greatly missed, not only by her immediate family but also by the Christian community, COCIN, and Plateau State at large.

The Speaker, on behalf of his colleagues,conveyed his condolences to Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe and prayed that God will grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant Mama's  soul eternal rest.
