In a remarkable display of solidarity, stakeholders within the rank and filed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other well-wishers in Jos North local government area of Plateau State has celebrates Governor Caleb Mutfwang's sterling leadership in the state.
Our correspondence who monitored the epoch making event report that the people converged in the early hours of Saturday morning 23th August 2025, at the Polo field and stage a procession down to St. Murumba.
A peaceful procession tagged, " Jos North solidarity match/rally in appreciation of Governor Caleb Mutfwang for good governance on the Plateau and endorsement for 2027 election, was been spearheaded by the executive Chairman of Jos North, Barr. John Christopher alongside PDP executives in the council area, the present and former government appointees within the state and Jos local government.
Explaining the rationale behind the rally, the chief host and chairman of Jos North, John Christopher confirmed they were obeying the instruction of Holy Bible which encouraged Christian to always give thanks to God at all times.
"Today, were here to appreciate God Almighty for the kind of leadership given to us in Plateau state in the person of Governor Caleb Mutfwang for the tremendous work he has been doing on the Plateau.
"Within the two years of governor Mutfwang's administration, Plateau is experiencing massive transformation on infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, tourism and other sector of the economic. And for us in Jos North we had witnessed a tremendous transformation.
"And because we have seen the light right from day one, that is why we're here to say please the governor should continue doing the good work in 2027 when another circle of election has come.
"The governor is a God fearing person and any leader that has people at heart is bound to succeed. Therefore, we have not make a mistake of voting Mutfwang", the chairman stated.
On issue of continue voter registration by the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Christopher charged Jos North resident most especially the eligible voters to intensify effort by getting their own as it is the license that guarantee their participation in governance.
Former senate minority leader, Dr. Simon Mwadkwon called on the electorates to double their votes for PDP in all positions come 2027.
He said PDP is stronger than ever before as the party is deeply rooted in hearts of Nigerians, and have what it takes to salvage the country out of the excruciating pains passing through.
Meanwhile, the commissioner ministry of land, survey, and town planning, Barr. Peter Gai acknowledged that the achievements of governor is evidently clear across the three senatorial district of the state.
He confirmed that within two in office, his ministry issued about 4,366 certificate of occupancy (CofO), something the previous administration of APC did not achieved in eight (8) years.
Other stakeholders who lend their voices in commending governor Mutfwang's developmental stride includes; Hon. Aminu Zang, Hajiya Jamila Gwando, chairman of PDP in Jos North, deputy chairman of Jos North Alh. Kabiru Garkuwa who doubled as chairman planning committee of the occasion as well as chairman of Jos South LGA, Hon. Silas Patrick Dung.
The rally which climax the endorsement of governor Caleb Mutfwang to run for the second term in 2027 election, also heralded with reception of decamped into PDP folds.
