Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, has congratulated the new leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Plateau State Chapter, on their successful election into office.

Rt. Hon Daniel, in a congratulatory message to the new leadership, rejoiced with the CAN Chairman, Rev. Dr. Dunka Gomwalk, and other executive members, describing their emergence as divine and reflective of the collective will of the Christian community for unity, peace, and purposeful leadership.

The Speaker expressed optimism that the new leadership will build on the legacies of their predecessors while strengthening the bond of fellowship among Christians across denominations and promoting spiritual growth, love, and understanding within the body of Christ.

Rt. Hon. Daniel recalled with fond memories, the good works of the new Chairman, Rev. (Dr.) Dunka while serving as the State Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, (PFN) and urged him to replicate same in his new role as the State CAN Chairman to enhance peace, unity and harmony of the church in Plateau State. 
He emphasized that the Church remains a vital moral compass for society and urged the new CAN executives to continue to promote values rooted in truth, justice, compassion, and peace, which are essential for social harmony and sustainable development in Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole.

On behalf of the Principal Officers, Members and Staff of the Plateau State House of Assembly, the Speaker encouraged the new CAN leadership to work closely with government and other stakeholders in advancing good governance, community development, and peaceful coexistence among the diverse religious and ethnic groups in the State.

While praying for divine wisdom and guidance for the new leadership team, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel assured them of the support and partnership of the Plateau State House of Assembly in all efforts geared towards strengthening unity, promoting moral rejuvenation, and advancing the collective progress of the State.
